We arrived back from Jamaica a few days ago, but it took me a while to get back into blogging mode. Here’s a couple of photos to show we took while away.
On the plane ride down, we were advised not to attempt to fasten our seat belts while performing gymnastics.
Here I am studying behavioural biology by swimming in the Black River, home to a number of American crocodiles (Crocodylus acutus). No crocodiles or humans were harmed during the course of this investigation.
Then, I compared the gravitational attraction between a body with my exact mass, and the water and underlying strata in an inlet off the Caribbean Sea.
Finally, things got a bit Wibbly-Wobbly Timey-Wimey.
Lots of sun, sand, water, and some of Jamaica’s finest hospitality and products. Given that we left in almost blizzard conditions, when many flights from Halifax were cancelled or delayed, and the weather here for the week was mostly snowy and windy, it was a very enjoyable and satisfying break. Most importantly, it providing for some quality pair-bonding.
