In Slovakia, we learned that pigs and cows are vegetables. My son is a vegetarian and sometimes while travelling, ordering vegetarian is a necessary means to ensure your vegetable intake for the day. However, in Bratislava, the vegetarian options usually included bacon or ham. It was sometime expressly stated on the menu and sometimes came in the form of a question from the server as in “Do you want bacon or ham with your vegetarian salad?”. In another instance, when checking into our hotel, my son asked if there were any vegetarian restaurants in the old city. The concierge pointed out a steak restaurant on the map.
So it is in spirit of Slovakia that I offer, for your Saturday reading pleasure, the gift or reproductive organs and the evilness of flower children
