Most of us will do anything we can to protect the health of our children. When they are in utero, the desire to protect is even greater.
The fear of parents unknowingly causing harm to their children coupled with the fear of modern technology, can lead to some unusual products. One of these is “Belly Armor”. This is not to be confused with Body Armor worn by combat troops or police SWAT teams. No, Belly Armor protects your unborn baby from the imaginary effects of electrosmog.
The company sells three products, a blanket, a t-shirt, and a belly band.
The company’s website promotes much of the fear that has been generated by the anti-technology crowd. I’ve written about the non-existent dangers of Wi-Fi and EMFs several times before, and the lengths some people will go to in an effort to hide from modern life, so if you want more info, go there.
They do bring up one point in their FAQ.
Belly Armor products are all made with socially and environmentally responsible processes.
It seems to me that if they were really socially responsible, they would not promote discounted science designed to generate fear, nor would they manufacture a totally useless product.
Of course, you could just wear tin-foil.
