I often refer to Wikipedia to be the source of information when the facts aren’t important. There are some well researched, well written, and factual articles on there, and some that are totally out to lunch. It is a good place to go for a bit of general knowledge, but if you want details, you need to look elsewhere.

Are these details actually in Conan Doyle’s books? Does it matter?
It’s definitely not the place for skeptics to hang out.
